Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I share all my trades?
How does TweetEveryTrade work?
When you sign-up for Tweet Every Trade, you will be able to link your account with your Twitter, Facebook, Google+, or other social network account. We will give you a unique email address like "username-48473304@tweeteverytrade.com" and you will follow a set of instructions to set-up your online brokerage to send trade notifications by email to that unique email address. Then when you trade, our systems will parse the email and automatically share your trade information to the social network(s) of your choice.

Once your trades start coming in, we will give you exclusive access to the full TweetEveryTrade database of trade information so that you can analyze and compare the performance of all the other traders using the system. You can comment on your trades and on the trades of others to discuss trading strategies, market sentiment, economic news, or anything else.
How do you maintain the security of my brokerage account?
We do not ask for or need any brokerage account information from you. If your broker does not have the option to add an email address for trade notifications only, we will help you setup a forwarding rule in Gmail or Outlook to forward just the trade notifications to your personal @TweetEveryTrade.com email address. That way, you can be assured that we have no unneeded access to any of your account information.
Do trades have to be shared instantly?
No. We will give you the option to share trades a) instantly or b) in a daily summary or c) in a weekly summary.
Do I have to share all my trading information?
No. You will be offered templates that give you the option to customize how your trading information is shared. You will even be given the option to conceal how large your account is in absolute terms. Of course, full trade information will be available to TweetEveryTrade's systems so that accurate performance information can be shared and compared.
How is this different than profit.ly?
profit.ly is a website that encourages trading transparency like TweetEveryTrade. But on profit.ly, traders must manually share each trade and then optionally verify the trades by using their broker's username/password. On TweetEveryTrade, trades will be automatically shared through the broker's email notification system so that the trading information is more complete and the broker interaction is more secure.
